The NFL is a results oriented business, and for Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Jeremy Maclin, those results just weren’t good enough.
Despite signing a lucrative contract to join former coach Andy Reid in KC just two years ago, Maclin’s production saw a serious dip in 2016 and warranted a pink slip from the Chiefs.
Now the Chiefs turn to their youth at wideout after they had productive seasons a year ago.

But it’s hard to overlook the very personal relationships that were reinforced just two weeks ago between Maclin and his KC brethren.

Yeah, that’s coach Reid and quarterback Alex Smith posing with Maclin at his wedding in May.
Still just 29 years of age, perhaps Maclin will land with a contender for the upcoming season and offer a deep threat to open up the field on offense.
